Ultrasonic flow meter models we can calibrate:

We only do ultrasonic clamp on type flow meters, we do not calibrate ‘in line’ flow meters.

Models listed here are just some of the more popular ones or ones we have done before, there may be other models that we have not yet listed which we may be able to calibrate too, if your model is not listed please contact us with an enquiry.

Limitations of our flow rig and capabilities

Please be aware:

  • Our flow calibration capabilities are limited to only ultrasonic clamp on type flow meters, we do not calibrate ‘in line’ flow meters.
  • Our flow rig has 33mm, 60mm, and 89mm OD pipes so if your sensors suit any of these sizes we should be able calibrate it.
  • Our flow rig pumps clean water (so we can’t for example calibrate a doppler type meter.)
  • Our flow rig can pump at a maximum of around 165L/min, a bypass valve is opened in stages to reduce flow through the rig to achieve a range of test points.

In house repair service

  • OEM backed and authorised service and repair agents for many instruments in our range.
  • That means less downtime in the event a fault or issue is found.

Quality

  • Our NATA accreditation scope has some of the best uncertainties in Australia. (Note: Not accredited for ultrasonic flow meter calibration currently)
  • Advice you can rely on, with 40+ years experience in the industry.

Fast & Easy

  • Standard turn around under 1 week.
  • Expediting options available (as quick as same business day).
  • Express freight options at great rates.

Our Precise Ultrasonic Flow Meter Calibration Expertise

Zedflo has been providing unparalleled calibration services with a focus on precision and excellence. Our advanced reference equipment ensures accurate automatic measurement of ultrasonic flow meters providing high-quality results.

At Zedflo, we are dedicated to providing top-tier test and calibration services that uphold the highest standards of accuracy and reliability. Whether you are in the residential, industrial, oil, gas, process, mining, or chemical industries, our expertise and commitment to excellence ensure that your equipment remains in optimal working condition.

Why are our ultrasonic flow meter calibrations ‘non accredited’?

Our non-accredited traceable service does not mean that it is a bad calibration – it simply means that we have not yet been assessed for certain types of equipment and measurements. All our calibration work broadly follows our ISO 17025 compliant quality management system.

Read our article: What is the difference between NATA and traceable?

Additionally, flow calibrations is not a big focus for us, more so offered as as a value added service as they are a product we sell we want to be able to support our customers, the amount of work we see in this field is relatively small but with growth in this service we may expand our capability and accreditation in the future.

Advantages of regular ultrasonic flow meter calibrations

Calibration is essential to ensure that your ultrasonic flow meter provides accurate results, which in turn reduces the risk of errors while the instrument is in use. Accurate measurements are crucial in reducing the risk of errors in your measurement or testing process. If an ultrasonic flow meter isn’t calibrated properly, results will have an inherent bias, and can result in mistakenly reporting results of a test or calibration. However, the benefits of calibration on ultrasonic flow meters also go beyond just accuracy. Here are some of the advantages of regular calibration:

  • Improved Reliability: Calibrated ultrasonic flow meters offer consistent and reliable performance over time. This reliability will give you more confidence when instrument is in the field, minimising errors and reducing downtime in operations.
  • Cost Savings: Regular calibration helps detect and rectify minor issues early, preventing them from snowballing into costly repairs or equipment failures. Additionally, accurate testing results help identify faults promptly, allowing for a faster, more efficient, & safer overall process.
  • Ensuring Compliance and Safety: Regular calibration of ultrasonic flow meters is not merely a recommendation but maybe a necessity to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Accurate instruments are essential for maintaining these safety standards. These systems are subject to various environmental and operational factors that can affect their performance over time. Humidity, temperature fluctuations, pressure changes, and even routine handling can all impact the accuracy of your equipment.

By entrusting Zedflo with your calibration needs, you can rest assured that your ultrasonic flow meter will continue to function precisely, safeguarding the integrity of your processes and safety of those who rely on them. We are known to provide top-tier calibration services for ultrasonic flow meters

Our minimum fee

We have a minimum service fee of $120 +GST, this applies as an inspection fee in the situation where any device is sent to and processed by Zedflo, but you decline to proceed with a service we have quoted.

  • Instruments that fail a calibration are generally still chargeable up to the full quoted price, although we may at our discretion charge a discounted fee depending how much time and effort has been spent working on the instrument.
  • For failed instruments, we will typically contact you with options of repair, replacement, or a certificate with modified compliance statement.
  • Some instruments may carry a larger minimum fee, for example in cases where we need to send the instrument to a 3rd party for assessment, in these cases before moving forward we will quote an elevated minimum fee to cover the associated freight costs and 3rd party assessment fees.

Additional notes:

  • Most of the time we can provide a quote/estimate even without seeing the instrument in person.
  • Some instruments may require an inspection prior to formally quoting.
  • Be aware that a quoted price is based on the normal amount of work and complexity expected with service we’ve quoted for.  The quotation value may increase after we have inspected or even begun the calibration/repair, for example if we find damage or faults with the instrument that were not expected and not within the initial scope of the job. If there are any known faults or issues, it’s always best to let us know in advance – it could save you both time and cost.
  • We will contact you with a revised quote before proceeding further where necessary.
