PAT TESTERS

Zedflo supplies PAT testers produced by Metrel, one of the world’s leading names in electrical measuring and testing equipment. Our extensive selection of portable appliance testers tests in accordance with AS/NZS 3760, helping support compliance with electrical safety testing standards. We supply both individual modules and full kits to meet your needs and budget, whether you test electrical equipment in high volumes or only occasionally.

MORE ABOUT PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTERS

Our range of PAT testers supports in-service testing of electrical equipment, covering everything from visual inspection through to full electrical safety compliance. Suitable for test and tag programs across all work environments, including industrial facilities, our PAT testers help businesses support workplace health and safety (WHS) obligations. We stock individual modules and complete portable appliance tester kits, and our kits can print customised test tags and integrate with an app to make data logging and record keeping via a phone or tablet quick and easy.

KEY TESTING CAPABILITIES

  • Visual inspection support within test and tag workflows
  • Earth continuity testing
  • Insulation resistance testing
  • Leakage current measurement
  • RCD testing (model dependent)
  • Programmable pass/fail limits and automated sequences (model dependent)
  • Bluetooth connectivity and data logging (model dependent)
  • Tag printing integration with compatible kits

CHOOSING THE RIGHT PAT TESTER

The right choice depends on how many assets you test, the environment, and the level of record keeping required. For occasional testing, a straightforward standalone appliance tester may be suitable. For ongoing, higher-volume testing programs, a kit with Bluetooth connectivity, onboard memory, and app-based data logging can streamline retesting, reporting, and tag printing. If you’re unsure, our team can help you compare models and select the ideal PAT tester for your application.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PAT TESTERS

What types of PAT testers does Zedflo stock?

Zedflo stocks a range of portable appliance testers to suit different testing needs, from straightforward standalone units through to advanced models capable of automated test sequences, Bluetooth connectivity, and integrated data logging. Whether you need a PAT tester for occasional use or a complete kit for high-volume testing, our range supports a wide variety of applications.

What is the difference between basic and more advanced models?

Basic PAT testers are designed for streamlined pass/fail testing of standard electrical equipment. More advanced models can add features like Bluetooth connectivity, larger internal memory, programmable test sequences, and broader test coverage such as insulation resistance, leakage current, earth continuity, and RCD testing. Capability varies by model and configuration.

What accessories are included with Zedflo’s PAT tester kits?

Kit inclusions vary by package. Print pack ranges commonly include the test module, a compatible label printer for customised test tags, a heavy duty carry case, and access to the aPAT Android app for streamlined record keeping and reporting. Accessories and consumables can also be supplied separately.

How do I choose the right PAT tester for my needs?

Consider the volume of appliances you test, the environment, the tests required, and whether you need features such as Bluetooth connectivity, automated sequences, data logging, or tag printing. If you test occasionally, a simple standalone appliance tester may suit. If you manage ongoing compliance programs, a complete kit with reporting and data logging can be more efficient.

How often should PAT testing be carried out?

Testing frequency depends on the equipment type and the environment it is used in. AS/NZS 3760 provides guidance tables covering different environments and risk levels. Higher-risk environments such as many construction settings typically require more frequent testing than low-risk environments.

Can PAT test results be saved and reported on?

Yes. Many models include onboard memory and can export results for evaluation and reporting. Kits that integrate with the aPAT app can further streamline data logging, record keeping, and retesting workflows from a phone or tablet, depending on model compatibility.
